Post festivals, the only thing that your body craves for is a good detox. A detox doesn’t always mean a week-long torture of hunger pangs. You could merely sip on these homemade natural teas in between meals or as a refreshment and cleanse your body internally for a healthy outside starts from the inside.

 

Ginger Tea

Ingredients:
Loose green tea,
Ginger,
Lemon,
Honey (if preferred)

Directions:
Add lemon and ginger to some boiling water. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. Pack a tea-infuser with loose green tea. Pour the water in a tea cup and let the tea-infuser sit in it for approximately 2-3 minutes. Add a few drops of honey if preferred.

Peppermint Tea

Ingredients:
Loose green tea,
Crushed peppermint leaves,
Ginger,
Honey (if preferred)

Directions:
Add ginger to some water and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer for 3 minutes. Mix the crushed peppermint leaves with the loose green tea and fill the tea infuser with this mixture. Let the tea infuser sit in the hot water for 2-3 minutes, longer if you wish to make it stronger. You may add a few drops of honey if preffered.

Cinnamon Tea

Ingredients:
Honey,
Cinnamon.

Directions:
Bring some water to a boil. Add honey to it. Take a few sticks of cinnamon in a tea cup and add the honey hot water over it. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes before consuming.

Turmeric Tea

Ingredients:
Cinnamon stick,
Lemon juice,
Ginger,
Turmeric,
Honey (if/as required)

Directions:
Bring some water to a boil. Add a stick of cinnamon, turmeric powder, and ginger to the boiling water. Let the water boil for about 5-8 minutes. Pour the concoction in a tea cup, add lemon juice to it. You may also add a few drops of honey to enhance its taste.

Lemon Tea

Ingredients:
Loose green tea,
Ginger,
Lemon juice,
lemon wedge,
Honey (if preferred)

Directions:
Grate ginger into some water and bring the water to a boil. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add the lemon juice to the water and pour it out in a tea cup. Pack a tea infuser with loose green tea and let the tea infuser sit in the hot concoction for a few minutes. Add the lemon wedge to your lemon tea for some more flavor. You may also add a few drops of honey if you prefer.
